Main Application Areas
PSL1 L360 LSAW steel pipes are primarily used in onshore and near-shore oil and gas transportation under relatively mild operating conditions.
1. Gathering and transmission pipelines: Medium- and low-pressure pipelines transporting oil and gas from wellheads to processing plants.
2. Low-pressure transmission trunk lines: Used for transporting natural gas, crude oil, or refined oil products with less stringent pressure requirements.
3. City gas distribution systems.
4. Industrial pipelines: Used for process pipelines and fluid transportation pipelines in chemical plants, power plants, and other fields.
5. Water transportation pipelines: Used in large-scale water transportation projects.
Manufacturing process
The manufacturing process of PSL1 L360 LSAW straight seam submerged arc welded pipe first requires the use of standard steel plates. After milling pretreatment, the plates are precisely bent using JCOE or UOE cold forming processes. Then, the main weld is welded using internal and external double-wire or multi-wire submerged arc welding. After welding, the weld is subjected to non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic or X-ray), overall mechanical expansion to improve dimensional accuracy and load-bearing capacity, and hydrostatic pressure test to verify the sealing strength. Finally, after end treatment, visual inspection and measurement, the anti-corrosion coating is applied and the pipe is put into storage.
