L320 PSL1 straight seam welded pipe is a straight seam welded pipe for oil, gas or fluid transportation. It is often used in low-pressure oil and gas transportation pipelines, water transportation pipelines, large-scale water diversion projects, municipal water supply, gas transportation, low-pressure natural gas, coal gas pipelines and other fluid transportation.

PSL1 has relatively flexible requirements for chemical composition, usually only specifying the maximum content of carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, etc.
Quality Inspection and Testing
The quality inspection and testing process for PSL1 L320 LSAW welded pipes strictly follows the API SPEC 5L standard, with the core objective of ensuring product integrity and reliability. The testing process begins with a re-verification of the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel plate raw material. After forming and welding, the weld seam undergoes 100% full-length non-destructive testing, typically using ultrasonic (UT) or radiographic (RT) methods to detect internal and surface defects. Subsequently, each steel pipe undergoes a hydrostatic test to verify its pressure-bearing capacity and sealing performance under the standard specified pressure, with a pressure holding time of no less than the specified duration. Finally, the finished pipes undergo a comprehensive inspection of dimensional accuracy and appearance quality to ensure that the outer diameter, wall thickness, length, and straightness tolerances meet the specifications of PSL1 level, thereby comprehensively guaranteeing the structural integrity and safe performance of the pipe body.
