Carbon steel welded pipes are steel pipes formed by welding carbon steel plates or strips that have been rolled into shape, typically in 6-meter lengths. The production process of welded carbon steel pipes is simple, with high production efficiency and a wide range of specifications. It requires less equipment investment, but generally has lower strength compared to seamless steel pipes.

Welded pipe is a kind of metal pipe widely used in construction, oil, natural gas, electric power, machinery manufacturing, and other fields. Its production process mainly includes raw material preparation, continuous moulding, welding treatment, heat treatment, anti-corrosion treatment, quality inspection and packaging of finished products. The raw materials of welded pipe are mainly steel pipes of various specifications, which can only enter the next process after cutting, straightening, descaling and other pre-treatment. The material, specification and quality of the steel pipe have an important influence on the production and performance of the welded pipe, so the preparation of raw materials is very important.
Continuous forming is an important part of welded pipe production, mainly through the continuous bending and calendering process, the straight steel plate is continuously rolled into a round pipe bad. In this process, according to different specifications of the steel pipe and different materials of the steel plate to choose the appropriate process parameters, such as temperature, speed and pressure, etc.
After continuous forming, the steel pipe needs to be welded. Welded pipe production processes commonly used welding methods are high-frequency straight seam welding and submerged arc welding. Welding needs to control the quality of the weld, such as weld width depth, flatness, etc., to ensure the strength and sealing performance of the welded pipe.
