What is SS Pipe?
Stainless steel pipe is a type of hollow, elongated cylindrical steel material, primarily utilized in various industrial conveying pipelines and mechanical structural components in industries such as petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, machinery, and instrumentation.
Stainless Steel Pipe Advantages
Stainless steel is a green and healthy metal material. The service life of stainless steel pipes is generally 70 years, and some can even last up to 100 years. Stainless steel pipes are durable, with thin walls, light weight, and high strength. Their effective diameter is about 30% larger than that of metal pipes.
- Stainless steel pipes have high strength, good seismic resistance, and strong impact resistance. Their strength is three times that of copper pipes and 8-10 times that of plastic water pipes.
- Stainless steel pipes have a large flow rate and can withstand the impact of high-speed water flow of up to 30 meters per second.
- Stainless steel round pipes have a small thermal expansion coefficient, which is 1/8 of that of plastic pipes. They are resistant to high temperatures, expand and contract slowly with heat and cold, and are not prone to leakage.
- Stainless steel rectangular pipes have strong corrosion resistance. After pickling and passivation treatment, the inner and outer walls of stainless steel pipes can form an oxide film that can withstand chloride ion content of up to 200 ppm.
- Stainless steel water pipes do not age under light exposure. The molecules in stainless steel pipes are tightly arranged, with very small molecular weights. They do not age or become brittle under light or heat exposure.
- Stainless steel water pipes are healthy. Stainless steel material is a healthy material that can be implanted into the human body. The pipe wall is smooth, and dirt does not accumulate even with long-term use. It is not easily contaminated by bacteria. There is no need to worry about affecting water quality, and it can prevent secondary pollution of water quality.
- Stainless steel exhaust pipes are durable and cost-effective. The service life of stainless steel water pipes can reach 100 years. Almost no maintenance is required during the service life, avoiding the cost and trouble of replacing pipes. Once used, it brings lifelong benefits.
- Precision stainless steel pipes are resistant to high temperatures and high pressures, with wide applications. Stainless steel can safely operate in temperatures ranging from -270°C to 400°C for extended periods. The tensile strength of stainless steel water pipes is greater than 530 Newtons per millimeter, greatly reducing the possibility of leakage caused by external forces. Therefore, stainless steel water pipes can effectively protect and utilize water resources.
