Product Introduction of Spiral Submerged Arc Welded Pipe

S355JR spiral welded pipe (SSAW) is a high-strength structural pipe manufactured using spiral submerged arc welding technology. It uses S355JR low-alloy high-strength structural steel as raw material according to European standard EN 10025-2. The hot-rolled steel strip is continuously spirally coiled along a specific forming angle, and then welded simultaneously on both the inner and outer sides using double-sided submerged arc welding technology. This unique manufacturing process creates its distinctive spiral weld, resulting in uniform stress distribution within the pipe body. It possesses excellent pressure-bearing capacity, superior dimensional flexibility, and economy, making it a key material for large-diameter pipelines and heavy structural applications.

S355JR SSAW Spiral Welded Pipe External Anti-corrosion Coating Treatment

For S355JR spiral welded pipes (SSAW), we use either fusion-bonded epoxy powder or three-layer polyethylene as the standard external anti-corrosion solution. The FBE coating bonds firmly to the pipe body through chemical bonds, forming a solid anti-corrosion barrier. The 3PE system, building upon this, adds a copolymer adhesive layer and a high-density polyethylene outer layer, achieving a perfect combination of anti-corrosion performance and resistance to mechanical damage, making it one of the most efficient anti-corrosion technologies currently available.
