S275JR Structural Welded Pipe Introduction

Advantages of S275JR Structural Welded Pipe

Both S275JR and S355 are structural steels, but their minimum yield strengths differ. S275JR has a yield strength of 275 N/mm² (hence its name), while S355 steel has a yield strength of 355 N/mm². This is due to their different chemical compositions; S355 has a carbon content of 0.20%, lower than S275JR's 0.25%.

S355 has the same manganese content as S275JR, at 1.6%, but its silicon (0.55%), sulfur (0.25%), and phosphorus (0.25%) contents are all higher than S275JR (0.505%, 0.04% respectively).

Although S275JR steel pipe has a lower yield strength than S355 steel, it boasts excellent weldability and is widely used.
