L290 Electric resistance weld (ERW) pipe Description
L290 is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel. The "290" in its name represents the steel's minimum yield strength of 290MPa, and its microstructure is mainly ferrite-pearlite.
Chemical composition: Contains a small amount of alloying elements (such as manganese, silicon, etc.), has good strength, toughness and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for oil and gas transportation and other scenarios.
Production process
Forming method: It is manufactured through the electric resistance welding (ERW) process, using high-frequency current to heat the edge of the strip and pressurize to form a straight seam weld, which has the characteristics of high production efficiency and narrow weld heat affected zone.
Pipe type adaptation: It is mainly used for the production of small and medium-caliber (such as 25-3620mm) straight seam welded pipes, and supports customized anti-corrosion treatment (such as polyethylene PE coating or epoxy powder anti-corrosion).
Performance advantages
High strength: The yield strength reaches 290~495MPa, which can meet the needs of medium and high-pressure fluid transportation (such as natural gas, oil). Corrosion resistance: Enhance the adaptability to soil, water and other environments through surface anti-corrosion technology (such as 3PE coating or epoxy powder).
Economical: The resistance welding process has low cost and short production cycle, and is suitable for batch manufacturing of standardized pipelines.
