A691 1CR alloy welded pipe is an electric fusion welded carbon steel and alloy steel pipe for high temperature and high pressure use that conforms to ASTM A691 standard. It is made of CR-MO heat resistant steel, with the main components being 2.25% CR (chromium) and 1% MO (molybdenum), which is equivalent to SA-335 P22 seamless pipe.

A691 1CR Alloy Steel Pipe Description

 

A691 1CR alloy welded pipe is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel welded pipe with a chromium (Cr) content of about 1% (actual range 0.8%-1.25%), a molybdenum (Mo) content of 0.45%-0.65%, and a carbon content of ≤0.2%.
The grade is marked as ‌A691 1Cr CL21‌ ("CL21" represents the material grade).

Manufacturing process‌
The electric fusion welding (EFW) process is adopted, and the weld is treated with double-sided penetration to ensure structural integrity.
After welding, ‌normalizing + tempering‌ heat treatment must be carried out to eliminate internal stress and optimize the metallographic structure.
