The performance of 301 stainless steel pipe at different temperatures is as follows:

Thermal stability: 301 stainless steel has good oxidation resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 840°C in intermittent service and 900°C in continuous service
. At temperatures above 400°C, the work hardening effect of 301 stainless steel will gradually disappear; at approximately 800°C, its strength will be similar to that of 301 stainless steel in the annealed state.
. In creep applications, work-hardened 301 stainless steel may even reduce to below the strength of annealed 301 stainless steel

Work hardening rate: 301 is an austenitic stainless steel with a high work hardening rate. Its strength can be significantly improved through cold working. This work hardening rate is approximately 14MPa in tensile strength for every 1% reduction in cross-sectional area.

Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance of 301 stainless steel is similar to that of 304, and it has good resistance to mild corrosion conditions at room temperature.

High-temperature oxidation behavior: Studies have shown that adding 1.0-1.8% copper to 301 stainless steel can significantly improve its high-temperature oxidation resistance. When heated in air at 1150°C, the addition of copper delayed the formation of high-temperature oxides and increased the temperature of the main exothermic peak by more than 100°C.
