In the manufacturing process of 202 Stainless Steel Pipe, several key process parameters must be carefully controlled to ensure its performance. Here are some of the critical factors to consider:

Chemical Composition: The chemical composition of 202 stainless steel is crucial, with chromium (Cr) ranging from 17-19%, manganese (Mn) from 7.50-10%, nickel (Ni) from 4-6%, and carbon (C) not exceeding 0.15%.

Mechanical Properties: It's important to monitor the mechanical properties such as tensile strength (515 MPa), yield strength (275 MPa), and elongation at break (40%).

Heat Treatment: For heat treatment, 202 stainless steel must be soaked at 1038°C (1900°F) for 30 minutes and cooled below 16°C (60°F) for full martensite transformation.

Welding: 202 stainless steel can be welded using common fusion and resistance methods. The recommended filler metal is AWS E/ER630. However, it should not be joined using the oxyacetylene welding method.

Forging: For forging, the material should be pre-soaked for 1 hour at 1177°C (2150°F). Forging below 1010°C (1850°F) is not advisable.

Forming: 202 stainless steel has good ductility and is suitable for cold forming methods like bending, stamping, and drawing. Cold forming can increase its strength and hardness through work hardening.

Cutting: Laser cutting and plasma cutting are efficient methods for 202 stainless steel, especially for thin sheets, providing precision and clean edges. Mechanical cutting methods like shearing and sawing can also be used.

Hot Working: 202 stainless steel can be forged at temperatures between 1149°C and 1260°C (2100°F to 2300°F). Following forging, annealing is required to relieve stresses and maintain ductility.
