What types of external corrosion protection are there for steel pipes?

1. Single-layer fusion bonded epoxy powder anti-corrosion (FBE) Single-layer FBE Coating
The epoxy powder coating has become one of the most advanced pipeline external anti-corrosion coatings due to its excellent corrosion resistance, insulation and long service life. It is divided into ordinary (thickness: 300-400um) and reinforced (thickness: 400-500um).
2. Double-layer fusion bonded epoxy powder anti-corrosion (2FBE)
The double-layer epoxy powder external coating is a composite coating structure, which is completed by spraying the anti-corrosion epoxy powder bottom layer and the anti-mechanical damage epoxy powder surface layer in one time. Ordinary (thickness ≥620um); reinforced (thickness ≥800um)

3. Two-layer polyethylene/polypropylene anti-corrosion (2PE/2PP)
The two-layer polyethylene/polypropylene layer has good corrosion resistance, insulation, long service life and certain mechanical damage resistance. It is divided into ordinary and reinforced types, and the thickness varies according to the specifications of the steel pipe: the minimum for ordinary type is 1.8mm; the minimum for reinforced type is 2.5mm.
4. Three-layer polyethylene/polypropylene anti-corrosion (3PE/3PP)
The three-layer polyethylene/polypropylene layer has excellent anti-corrosion, insulation, long service life and certain mechanical damage resistance, and has been widely used in the anti-corrosion of various large-scale pipeline projects. It is divided into two types: ordinary type and reinforced type. The thickness varies according to the specifications of the steel pipe: the minimum thickness of the ordinary type is 1.8mm; the minimum thickness of the reinforced type is 2.5mm.
