Carbon steel is a metal alloy that combines iron and carbon. The various uses of carbon steel depend on the amount of carbon added to the alloy; mild steel is the type of steel used for structural purposes in buildings and bridges. High-carbon steel, on the other hand, is commonly used to make pots and pans. The average person is usually familiar with two steel alloys: carbon steel and stainless steel. Carbon steel combines iron with carbon, while stainless steel combines iron with chromium. For us, identifying stainless steel is easy because chromium forms a shiny coating on the metal that is reflective and non-porous, making stainless steel easy to clean and decorate. One of the common definitions of carbon steel is any steel that is not stainless. Classification of carbon steel:
1. Low Carbon Steel: This type of carbon steel contains less than 0.3 per cent carbon and is used to manufacture different products such as wire rods, cold rolled sheets, structural beams, and so on.
2. Medium Carbon Steel: This type of carbon steel contains between 0.3% and 0.6% carbon and is commonly used to manufacture parts such as axles, gears and shafts.
3. High Carbon Steel: This type of carbon steel contains more than 0.6% carbon and is used to manufacture products such as knives, cutting tools, springs, etc. due to its high hardness and good wear resistance.

Carbon steel pipes are widely used in various industries due to their strength, durability and versatility. Some of the common uses of carbon steel pipes are:
1. oil and gas industry - Carbon steel pipes are widely used in the oil and gas industry for drilling operations, transportation and refining.
2. construction industry - Carbon steel pipes are used in the construction of buildings, bridges and other structures. They are also used in water supply and drainage systems in buildings.
3. Automotive industry - Carbon steel pipes are used in the manufacture of car bodies, engine parts and exhaust systems.
4. Agricultural industry - Carbon steel pipes are used in the production of agricultural machinery and equipment such as tractors and irrigation systems.
5. Aerospace industry - Carbon steel pipes are used in the construction of aircraft and spacecraft components due to their durability and strength.
6. Power Generation Industry - Carbon Steel Pipes are used in the construction of power plants as well as for the transmission of steam and natural gas.
7. Mining industry - Carbon steel pipes are used in the mining industry for extraction and transport of materials.
8. Manufacturing - Carbon steel pipes are used in a variety of manufacturing processes, including food and beverage processing, chemical production and pharmaceutical production.
