Excellent Mechanical Properties: Yield strength exceeds 414 MPa, tensile strength is between 520-620 MPa, and elongation is not less than 18%. This high strength and good toughness enable it to withstand the enormous pressure and axial force under high-pressure transportation environments, effectively preventing pipeline rupture and deformation.

Good Weldability: Due to its chemical composition and microstructure, API 5L X60 large diameter straight seam welded pipe is easy to weld. During pipeline construction, it can be easily welded to other pipe fittings, valves, etc., and the quality of the weld joint can be effectively guaranteed. The strength coefficient of the weld joint is generally not less than 0.95.

Strong Corrosion Resistance: During oil and natural gas transportation, pipelines may come into contact with environments containing corrosive media such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. With appropriate anti-corrosion measures, such as applying anti-corrosion coatings (e.g., 3PE coating, i.e., three-layer polyethylene coating) and adopting cathodic protection technology, steel pipes can resist the corrosion of these media, extend the service life of the pipeline, and generally ensure that the pipeline can serve in harsh environments for 20 to 30 years.
