L245 Low Carbon Line Pipe

L245 low-carbon line pipe is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel pipe designed for the transportation of fluid media such as natural gas, oil, and water-coal slurry. The "L" in its name stands for "Line Pipe" and "245" means the minimum yield strength is 245MPa37. It is mainly used in the following scenarios:

Oil and gas transportation: oil and gas field gathering and transportation pipelines, cross-regional transmission trunk lines;

Municipal engineering: urban water supply, drainage and gas transmission pipelines;

Chemical and energy: corrosive medium transportation, thermal power plant circulating water system.

The chemical composition of L245 low-carbon pipeline has been scientifically proportioned to combine strength and corrosion resistance:

Carbon (C): about 0.26%, used to improve the tensile strength of steel (≥415MPa);

Manganese (Mn): about 1.15%, enhancing low-temperature toughness and compressive resistance;
Sulfur (S), phosphorus (P): both ≤0.030%, reducing the risk of brittleness and improving welding performance;
Optional alloying elements: such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), and molybdenum (Mo) to further enhance corrosion resistance.

Corrosion resistance: By controlling the sulfur and phosphorus content and adding trace alloys, it can resist corrosion in soil, water media and sulfur-containing environments;
