L415 Welded Round Steel Pipe Description
L415 spiral welded pipe is a high-strength welded steel pipe made of L415 low alloy steel as raw material through spiral forming and double-sided submerged arc welding process, which belongs to the X60 grade of API 5L standard (corresponding to international standard X60M)15. It belongs to X60 grade in API 5L standard (corresponding to international standard X60M).
Mechanical properties: yield strength ≥415MPa, tensile strength 520-760MPa, elongation ≥20%, suitable for high-pressure oil and gas transmission and complex environments.
Material composition: low carbon design (carbon content ≤ 0.12%), sulfur, phosphorus content ≤ 0.02%, adding manganese (≤ 1.65%), silicon (≤ 0.45%) and other elements to enhance strength and toughness.
Corrosion resistance: 3PE anti-corrosion, epoxy coating and other treatments can be used to extend the service life of the pipeline to 30-50 years in wet, salt spray and other environments.
Quality control:
The welded seams need to pass X-ray and ultrasonic inspection to ensure that there are no cracks, porosity and other defects.
The implementation standards include API 5L PSL1/PSL2 and GB/T 9711, which meet the strict safety requirements for oil and gas transmission.
Comparison Advantages
Comparison with low steel grade: Compared with L245 and L360 steel pipe, L415 has higher yield strength (≥415MPa), which is suitable for higher pressure or severe working conditions.
Comparison with LSAW pipe: Spiral forming process can produce large diameter steel pipe at low cost, and the weld seam is evenly distributed, with better pressure resistance.
