L390 welded spiral steel pipe Description
L390 spiral welded pipe is made of low alloy high-strength steel, which belongs to L390 grade (corresponding to PSL2 level) in API 5L standard, and its chemical composition and mechanical properties meet the strict requirements of high-pressure transmission pipelines:
Chemical composition: low carbon design (carbon content ≤ 0.22%), sulfur (S), phosphorus (P) content is strictly controlled at ≤ 0.03% or less, while adding manganese (Mn), silicon (Si) and other alloying elements to enhance strength and toughness.
Characteristics: Optimise grain structure through micro-alloying process (e.g. add niobium, vanadium and other trace elements), both high yield strength (≥390MPa) and good welding performance.
Mechanical properties:
Yield strength ≥ 390MPa, tensile strength range 415-760MPa, elongation ≥ 20%.
Excellent low-temperature impact toughness, adapted to cold regions or deep sea environment.
Execution standard:
Comply with API 5L PSL2 (international petroleum pipeline standard), GB/T 9711 (oil and gas industry pipeline steel pipe standard) and SY/T 5037 (low-pressure fluid transport standard).
Applications:
Mainly used for high-pressure oil and gas transmission (such as natural gas, oil long-distance pipeline) and municipal engineering (urban drainage, underground pipeline corridor).
It can be equipped with 3PE anti-corrosion and epoxy coatings to enhance its durability in corrosive environments such as humidity and salt spray.
