L245 Spiral Steel Pipe For Common Fluid Transportation

L245 spiral welded pipe is a welded steel pipe made of L245 low alloy steel as raw material through spiral forming process and double-sided submerged arc welding technology, which is mainly used in the field of oil, gas and other fluid transmission13. It is mainly used in the field of oil, natural gas and other fluid transmission. Its core characteristics include:
Material composition: carbon content ≤ 0.26%, manganese ≤ 1.15%, and strict control of sulfur (≤ 0.03%), phosphorus (≤ 0.03%) content in order to improve welding performance and toughness.
Mechanical properties: yield strength ≥ 245MPa, tensile strength ≥ 415MPa, elongation ≥ 20%, in line with GB/T 9711 standard requirements.
Manufacturing process
Forming and welding:
It adopts spiral extrusion moulding of narrow strip steel coil at room temperature, and can produce large diameter steel pipes of φ219-3000mm.
Welding is completed by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding, with continuous and even weld seams, and the compression resistance is better than that of LSAW pipes.
Post-processing and testing:
Bending test (bending centre diameter 180° without cracks), reverse bending test (forward 45° + reverse 23° without cracks) and other process performance tests are required.
The welded seam should pass X-ray inspection and hydrostatic test (test pressure ≥ 1.25 times the design pressure).
APPLICATIONS
With its high pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, L245 spiral welded pipe is widely used in:
Oil and gas transmission: oil, natural gas, gas and other long-distance high-pressure pipeline system.
Water conservancy and infrastructure: urban water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, bridge piling and other projects.
