GNEE will place a numerical mark 300 mm to the right and left of the end of all steel pipe submitted for testing and acceptance. The pipe grade or material number will also be written on the product.
Manufacturing process
Steel pipe conforming to the standards shall be manufactured by hot or cold rolling, hot pressing, hot drawing or cold drawing.
Steel used in steel pipe shall be manufactured by oxygen blowing, open hearth or electric furnace.
All steel shall be killed.
Delivery Conditions
The tubes shall be supplied suitably heat treated over their entire length. The following heat treatment shall be used, depending on the type of steel: normalizing;subcritical annealing;hardening and tempering with continuous cooling from the hardening temperature and subsequent tempering;hardening and tempering with isothermal transformation.
