API 5L X56 pipe is the mid-range pipe in the API 5L standard specification. It has a minimum yield strength of 390 Mpa (56,600 psi) and a minimum tensile strength of 490 Mpa.
API 5L X56, also known as L390 pipe, is named after the yield strength of 390 Mpa and covers seamless and welded (ERW, EFW, SAW) types of fabrication types.L390 pipe consists of two product specification levels, PSL1, PSL2. as well as different services such as Sour, Onshore, and Offshore services.
