A691 1-1/4CR Alloy Steel Pipe Description

A691 1-1/4CR steel pipe standard covers electric-fusion-welded carbon and alloy steel pipes with filler metal added, made from pressure vessel quality plates of various analyses and strength levels, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Heat treatment may or may not be required to achieve the desired mechanical properties or to comply with applicable specification requirements. Supplementary requirements are provided for additional testing or inspection when required. A691 1-1/4CR steel pipes are typically produced with an outside diameter of 16 inches (405 mm) or larger, and wall thickness not exceeding 3 inches (75 mm).
