ASTM A672 C60 Carbon Steel EFW Pipes

Specification A672 C60 requires that plate used for pipe fabrication conform to the appropriate SA standard in Volume 2 of the ASME Code for Boilers and Pressure Vessels. Welds shall be made by double-sided or other full-penetration butt welds that assure the same quality of weld metal on the inside and outside of the weld. The metal plate used for the root of the weld shall be removed.
A672 C60 steel pipe shall meet all the requirements of Volume 4 of the specification, including welding, heat treatment, nondestructive testing, authorized inspection points at the manufacturing plant, and application of the specification steel stamp.
Each lot of pipe shall be furnished with the appropriate ASME Section data sheet signed by an authorized inspector and a copy of the test report from the certified steel mill. Each pipe shall be marked to identify the lot number and the test report of the certifying mill.
