A672 D70 EFW Welding pipe Description
A672 D70 belongs to the American Standard (ASTM) medium-temperature and high-pressure electrically welded steel pipe, the implementation of the standard ASTM A672, dedicated to high-temperature and high-pressure fluid transport systems.
Grade Analysis:
D70: indicates a minimum yield strength of 70 ksi (483 MPa) and is a high-strength carbon steel welded pipe.
CL22: Additional condition, which means that the pipe needs to be normalised to ensure homogeneity of the material and low-temperature toughness.
2. Chemical composition and mechanical properties
Core composition:
Carbon (C): ≤ 0.30%, manganese (Mn) ≤ 1.65%, silicon (Si) 0.15% ~ 0.40%;
Low alloy design: may contain trace Cr, Mo elements to enhance corrosion resistance.
