DIN 30670 Polyethylene Coating Pipe

 

DIN 30670 standard specifies the technical requirements and methods for extrusion or fusion-bonded coating on buried steel pipes complying with DIN 2448 or DIN 2458 standards. The purpose of this standard is to ensure coating quality. Pipes conforming to this standard are suitable for continuous operation under temperatures up to 50°C when using the standard coating (N type), and up to 70°C when using the special coating (S type). In this standard, the term "steel pipe" also includes steel pipe fittings.

Transport, Handling, and Storage of DIN 30670 Polyethylene Coated Pipes

Handling coated steel pipes and fittings should not cause damage to the pipe ends or the coating. Equipment such as steel wire ropes, slings, or any other items that could potentially damage the coating or pipe ends should not be used. During transportation, measures should be taken to prevent damage to the steel pipes, fittings, or coating. For pipes intended for long-term outdoor storage after delivery, protection should be provided to prevent exposure to UV radiation.
