A554 tubing is suitable for welded or cold-reduced mechanical tubing with outside diameters up to and including 16 inches (406.4 mm) and wall thicknesses of 0.020 inches (0.51 mm) and above.A554 stainless steel welded tubing is suitable for welded stainless steel tubing for mechanical purposes where appearance, mechanical properties, or corrosion resistance are required.
