Chemical Composition: The raw material must have a precise chemical composition that meets the specifications for Stainless Steel 310, which includes high levels of chromium (24-26%), nickel (19-22%), and controlled carbon content (max. 0.25% for 310 and up to 0.10% for 310H) to ensure excellent high-temperature properties and good ductility.
Melting Practice: The steel should be melted in a way that ensures homogeneity and purity. Electric furnace melting, followed by ladle refining and vacuum degassing, is often used to produce clean and homogeneous steel.
Manufacturing Process: The tubes must be manufactured using a controlled welding process that ensures the weld seam's integrity and the material's mechanical properties are maintained. The welding parameters, such as current, voltage, and speed, must be optimized for the best results.
Heat Treatment: After welding, a solution annealing treatment (heat to 1040-1150°C and cool rapidly) is recommended to restore ductility and maximize corrosion resistance, especially after service above 650°C.
