Composition:Key Alloys: 316L stainless steel contains a significant amount of chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), similar to 304L, but with the addition of molybdenum (Mo) at around 2.00% to 3.00%. The carbon (C) content is kept low, typically ≤ 0.03%, to minimize the risk of intergranular corrosion. Other elements include manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), sulfur (S), and phosphorus (P) in small quantities.
