To ensure the performance of 1.4876 Stainless Electric Heating Tube, several critical process parameters must be meticulously controlled during manufacturing:
Chemical Composition: The tube must have precise levels of key elements like carbon (C ≤ 0.12%), manganese (Mn up to 2.0%), phosphorus (P ≤ 0.030%), sulfur (S ≤ 0.015%), chromium (Cr 19.00–23.00%), nickel (Ni 30.00–34.00%), silicon (Si up to 1.00%), aluminum (Al 0.15–0.60%), and titanium (Ti 0.15–0.60%) .
Annealing Process: The material should undergo solution annealing at temperatures around 1150–1200°C followed by rapid cooling, preferably in water or air, to maintain its austenitic structure and desired mechanical properties .
Cold and Hot Working: The material is deformable both cold and hot. Hot working is performed at 1200–950°C for larger deformations and 1050–850°C for smaller ones. Cold forming should be done in the annealed condition, with intermediate annealing for significant deformation .
Mechanical Properties: The yield strength (≥ 170 N/mm²), tensile strength (450-700 N/mm²), and elongation (≥ 30%) must be achieved through proper heat treatment and processing .
Welding: Welding should be done using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), or SMAW (coated electrode) methods. Components to be joined should be stress-free and bright. Low heat input is crucial to minimize hot cracking susceptibility, and post-weld heat treatment is often required.
