Graphite Spiral Wound Gasket, Filler, PN100, DN150 Ship To Saudi Arabia

The core of a graphite-metal spiral wound gasket consists of two main components: the metal strip and the filler material. The metal strip, typically made of stainless steel, carbon steel, or other alloy materials, provides mechanical support and pressure resistance. The filler layer, usually composed of flexible graphite or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), is responsible for sealing the medium.

The metal strip and filler material are wound in an alternating spiral pattern to form a multi-layer structure. This design ensures both elasticity and adaptability to slight surface imperfections.

Compared to other sealing gaskets (such as rubber gaskets or solid metal gaskets), graphite-metal spiral wound gaskets offer the advantage of combining their respective properties. Rubber gaskets are prone to aging at high temperatures, while solid metal gaskets require high flatness in flange surfaces. In contrast, graphite-metal spiral wound gaskets maintain stability across a wide temperature range while compensating for minor flange surface defects.
