What is Blind Flange?
Blind Flange (also called Blind Flange or Blind Plate) is a type of flange connection form. Essentially, it is a flange without a central bore.
Its primary functions include:
Sealing the end of a pipeline.
Facilitating the removal of debris during maintenance.
In terms of sealing, it serves a similar purpose as headers or pipe caps. However, unlike headers (which are permanently welded), blind flanges are bolted on, allowing for easy disassembly when needed.
Blind flanges are available in various materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel.
