1. With A (C) as the inlet, it can switch between two interconnected groups: A B (C D) or A C (C A).
2. With B (D) as the inlet, it can switch between two interconnected groups: B A (D C) or B D (D B).
3. It cannot switch between A D (C B) or D A (B C).
