What is P265 GH material?
P265GH is a pressure vessel steel conforming to the European standard EN 10028-2. The designation "P265" indicates a minimum yield strength of 265 MPa, while "GH" signifies its suitability for high temperatures (≤300℃). The chemical composition is strictly controlled: carbon ≤0.20%, silicon ≤0.40%, manganese 0.80-1.40%, phosphorus ≤0.025%, sulfur ≤0.010%, supplemented with trace amounts of chromium and molybdenum to enhance corrosion resistance, and a carbon equivalent ≤0.35% to ensure weldability.
Its mechanical properties are excellent: room temperature yield strength ≥265 MPa (thickness ≤16 mm), tensile strength 410-530 MPa, elongation ≥22%, impact energy ≥27 J at -20℃, and yield strength ≥195 MPa at 300℃, ensuring stability in medium-temperature and high-pressure environments. Delivery conditions are mostly normalized (N) or normalized rolled (NR), with thicknesses ranging from 8-150 mm. Customized ultra-wide and ultra-thick plates and special flaw detection are supported.
What is the maximum temperature for P265GH
The P265GH combines high strength, high plasticity, and excellent weldability, making it suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments with a long-term service temperature of ≤350℃.
