1. What is NDT in welded pipe?
NDT = Non-Destructive Testing, including ultrasonic, eddy current, X-ray to detect internal or surface defects without damage.
2. Why do we remove burrs inside the pipe?
Internal burrs affect fluid flow, pressure loss, and pipeline connection, and may cause damage to seals or instruments.
3. What materials are used for low-temperature welded pipe?
Common grades:16MnDG, Q355ND, Q355MD, A333 Grade 6 for low-temperature impact resistance.
4. What is pre-coated pipe?
Pipe coated with 3PE, FBE, epoxy or polyethylene for anti-corrosion in buried pipelines.
5. What is 3PE coating?
3PE = three-layer polyethylene coating. It provides excellent corrosion resistance for buried oil/gas/water pipelines.
