What is hygienic butterfly valves

The hygienic butterfly valve is a valve that uses standard electronic polishing to ensure a smooth surface, no medium accumulation area, and no potential contamination. Its butterfly disc is installed in the vertical direction of the pipeline and controls the flow of fluid by rotating around its axis.

Features:
Material: Typically constructed from stainless steel (SUS304, 316L), or higher-standard alloys, ensuring that parts in contact with the media do not contaminate product quality.

Design: Compact and simple, easy to clean and maintain.

Sealing: Highly polished sealing surfaces ensure excellent sealing performance, ensuring no leakage.

Easy Operation: Quick and easy opening and closing, with an opening and closing range of 0 to 90 degrees.

Working Principle:

The hygienic butterfly valve uses a circular disc as the opening and closing element, which rotates with the valve stem to open, close, and regulate the fluid flow. Within the valve body, the disc rotates around its axis, controlling the fluid flow by varying the gap between the disc and the valve seat. When the disc rotates 90 degrees, the valve is fully open; when the disc contacts the sealing ring on the valve seat, the valve is closed.

Applications
Sanitary butterfly valves are widely used in industries such as beer, beverages, dairy, juice, pharmaceuticals, and bioengineering, as well as in clean steam, alcohol, and fine chemicals. These industries place extremely high demands on valve hygiene, and sanitary butterfly valves precisely meet these requirements.
