What is C65 steel?
A672 C65 pipe is an electro-melt welded steel pipe for medium temperature and high pressure applications, which is made of carbon C, silicon Si, manganese Mn, phosphorus P, and sulphur S. The carbon content is approximately 0.16%. This pipe follows ASTM standards for specific medium temperature and high pressure applications.
A672 Grade C 65 Chemical composition (%)
| composition | C | Si | Mn | P | S | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thickness ≤12.5mm | Min | - | 0.13 | 0.79 | - | - |
| Max | 0.24 | 0.45 | 1.3 | 0.025 | 0.025 |
- Mn0.85~1.2% for melting analysis; Si0.15~0.4%; other elements in the table are suitable for melting and finished product analysis.
