For spiral steel pipe plasma cutting, the difficulties in dust removal are:
1, the cold air on the periphery of the suction port from outside the machine gap into the suction port, the air volume is very large, so that the total amount of smoke and cold air inside the steel pipe is greater than the effective air volume of the machine inhalation. Dust collector, can not completely absorb the cutting smoke.
2. When cutting, the plasma gun nozzle blows in two opposite directions at the same time, making the smoke and dust come out from both ends of the steel pipe. However, the suction nozzle is installed in one direction of the steel pipe, it is difficult to recover the smoke and dust well.
3. As the cutting part is far away from the suction port, the wind that reaches the suction port is difficult to blow the soot away.

For this reason, the design principles of the vacuum hood are:
1, the amount of air sucked in by the dust collector must be greater than the amount of soot produced by plasma cutting and the total amount of air inside the pipe. A certain amount of negative pressure cavity should be formed inside the steel pipe, and try to keep a large amount of outside air from entering the steel pipe in order to effectively draw the smoke into the dust collector.
2. Block the soot behind the cutting point of the steel pipe. Try to prevent cold air from entering the inside of the steel pipe from the inhalation port. The space inside the steel pipe forms a negative pressure chamber to prevent the fumes and dust from escaping. The key is to design smoke and dust blocking facilities. Reliable production, does not affect normal production, easy to use.
3, the shape and installation position of the suction port. The suction port must be used to draw more smoke and dust inside the steel pipe to achieve the effect. Add baffle behind the cutting point of plasma gun to keep the smoke and dust inside the steel tube. After a period of buffering, it can be completely sucked out.

Specific measures:
Install the smoke baffle plate inside the steel tube of the trolley and place it at about 500mm from the cutting point of the plasma gun. Stop for some time after cutting the steel tube to absorb all the smoke. Note that the smoke stopper needs to be positioned exactly where it will be after the cut. In addition, in order for the traveling trolley supporting the smoke barrier to rotate in unison with the steel pipe, the angle of the traveling trolley's walking wheels must be in unison with the angle of the inner rollers. For plasma cutting of large-caliber spiral welded pipes with a diameter of about 800mm, this method can be used; for pipes with a diameter of less than 800mm, small-diameter soot can not be emitted from the direction of the pipe outlet, without the need to install internal baffles. However, there must be an external baffle at the smoking outlet of the former to block the entry of cold air.
