2. Grade
"50" is the grade in the ASTM A709 standard, which is equivalent to the concept of steel grade in my country. This grade means structural steel for bridges with a yield strength of ≥345MPa, corresponding to Q345q 23 in my country's GB/T 714 standard.
3. Use
According to the use of the A709 standard, the A709 QTS 50S steel pipe is likely to be mainly used in the construction of bridge structures, and can be used to make highway bridges and railway bridges with riveted and bolted structures, including cross-sea bridges. At the same time, A709GR50 is mainly used in manufacturing plants, general buildings and various types of engineering machinery, such as drilling rigs, electric shovels, electric wheel dump trucks, mining vehicles, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, various cranes, coal mine hydraulic supports and other mechanical equipment and other structural parts used in mines and various engineering constructions. A709 QTS 50S may also have similar application scenarios.
4. Production
Oxygen converter or electric furnace smelting is usually used. The delivery state is diverse, and it may be delivered in hot rolling, controlled rolling, and normalizing states. It can also be delivered in hot rolling, normalizing, tempering, normalizing and tempering, quenching and tempering, etc. according to the user's use requirements.
5. Performance
In terms of its strength grade, the yield strength is ≥345MPa, and it has good strength and toughness to meet the load-bearing requirements of engineering structures such as bridges. And it may have good performance characteristics such as weldability, machinability and wear resistance.
