1. Comparison table of international standard equivalent materials
| Standard Type | Grade | Standard | Core matching basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| GB | Q345B | GB/T 1591 | Yield strength ≥345MPa, tensile strength 470-630MPa, mechanical properties highly consistent with A500 Grade B |
| EN | S235JR/S355JR | EN 10210 | The yield strength covers the range of 235-355MPa. S355JR can directly replace A500 Grade B square tube. |
| JIS | SS400 | JIS G 3101 | Tensile strength ≥ 400MPa covers A500 Grade B requirements (420-550MPa), applicable to general structural steel scenarios |
| DIN | S355J2H(Equivalent to European standard) | DIN EN 10210 | Same source as European standard S355JR, -20℃ impact energy guarantees low temperature toughness |
2. Key performance adaptability analysis
Strength compatibility
Q345B: Yield strength (≥345MPa) fully matches A500 Grade B, and elongation ≥21% is better;
S355JR: Tensile strength of 470-630MPa covers the American standard range and is suitable for load-bearing frame structures;
SS400: Focuses on tensile strength (≥400MPa), but yield strength (≥245MPa) is slightly lower than Grade B.
Process and certification differences
European/German standard S355JR needs to meet the cold bending and non-destructive testing requirements of EN 10210;
Japanese standard SS400 needs to supplement the flattening test to verify the applicability of pile foundations.
