- Basic concepts
1. Submerged arc welded steel pipe
Submerged arc welded steel pipe is a steel pipe welded by a submerged arc automatic welding machine. It adopts the submerged arc welding process. The weld seam has a smooth appearance and a uniform pipe wall thickness. It is suitable for high-pressure pipelines and low-pressure liquid transportation pipelines.

2. High frequency welded pipe
High-frequency welded pipe is a steel pipe that is fusion welded along the axis of the inner wall of the steel pipe through high-frequency current conduction. The production process is relatively simple and the cost is low. It is widely used in construction, furniture, automobiles and other fields.

- Comparison of differences
1. Process differences
The production process of submerged arc welded steel pipes is relatively complex and requires the use of automatic submerged arc welding machines. The welding speed is slow, but the welding quality is high. High-frequency welded pipes use high-frequency current for fusion welding, which is fast, but the pipe wall thickness is large. For steel pipes, the high-frequency welding process is more difficult.
2.Application fields
Submerged arc welded steel pipes are suitable for high-pressure liquid transportation, underground water pipes and other fields. The welding quality is high, but the cost is high; while high-frequency welded pipes are widely used in construction, furniture, automobiles and other fields, the cost is low, but the welding quality is slightly inferior to Submerged arc welded steel pipe.
3.Mechanical properties
Submerged arc welded steel pipes have excellent mechanical properties, including strong corrosion resistance and bending resistance, while the mechanical properties of high-frequency welded pipes are slightly inferior to those of submerged arc welded steel pipes. For occasions with higher usage requirements, it is recommended to choose submerged arc welded steel pipes.
- Application
1. Submerged arc welded steel pipe
Submerged arc welded steel pipes are used in high-pressure gas transmission, oil pipelines, petrochemical equipment, water pipelines, sewage pipelines and other fields. Due to its high welding quality, high mechanical strength, and good corrosion resistance, it has been widely used.
2. High frequency welded pipe
High-frequency welded pipes are used in construction, furniture, automobiles and other fields. Due to their low production costs, fast production speed, and high surface finish, they have gradually replaced traditional seamless steel pipes, spiral pipes and other products and have been widely used in the market.
You can choose the welded pipe product that is more suitable for you according to your needs.
