Difference between JIS G3454 and JIS G3456 steel pipes

The main difference between the standards for JIS G3454 and JIS G3456 steel pipes is the environment and pressure conditions under which they are used.

JIS G3454: This is a standard for carbon steel steel pipe for pressure piping. This steel pipe is suitable for pressurised piping at temperatures not exceeding 350°C, and is mainly used for pressure piping, especially in environments below 350°C. The pressure range for its use is usually below 10MPa.

JIS G3456: This is a standard for carbon steel pipes for high-temperature piping. This steel pipe is mainly used in high-temperature environments where the temperature exceeds 350°C. It is suitable for high-temperature piping, and the temperature range is from 350°C to 400°C. It is usually used at pressures between 10MPa and 30MPa.

To summarise, JIS G3454 is concerned with pressurised steel pipes at lower temperatures (up to 350°C) and lower pressures (up to 10MPa), whereas JIS G3456 is suitable for high temperature environments at higher temperatures (above 350°C) and possibly higher pressures (10MPa to 30MPa).
