ASTM A672 Grade C60 Electric-Fusion-Welded Steel Pipe description
ASTM A672 C60 EFW Pipe is a medium-temperature pressure-bearing electrofusion welded carbon steel pipe conforming to ASTM A672 standard. Its core characteristics are:
"C60": Material grade, carbon manganese steel (C≤0.22%, Mn:1.00-1.60%) with a minimum yield strength of 60 ksi (415 MPa).
"EFW": Manufacturing process is electrofusion welding, achieving a seamless bond by melting the steel strip edges with an electric arc.
Heat treatment: Forced normalizing (890-930℃ air cooling) to improve high-temperature performance.
Inspection level: Must match Class 12/22/32 (default Class 22, partial non-destructive testing).
