Chemical Analysis:

Performance Characteristics:
ASTM A500 Square Steel Tube exhibits excellent ductility and is easily processed through bending, flattening, cutting, punching, flaring, and flanging operations, and can be welded using common welding methods. Different grades of square steel pipe meet varying strength and toughness requirements, adapting to a variety of engineering environments.
Production Process:
It can be produced using either seamless or welded processes. Welded pipe is typically manufactured from flat steel using electric resistance welding. Longitudinal butt welds must be welded through the entire thickness of the pipe to ensure the structural strength of the pipe cross-section.
ASTM A500 Square Steel Tube specification covers welded and seamless carbon steel tubing in round, square, rectangular, and "special" shapes for construction and structural purposes.LINKUN supplies and stocks square, rectangular, round, and special-shaped electric resistance welded (ERW) carbon steel tubing to meet ASTM A500 Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C, used for structural applications.
FAQ
How does it differ from ASTM A513?
A500 is a structural pipe, focused on load-bearing applications (such as building frames) and comes in four grades: A/B/C/D (Grade B is the most commonly used). A513 is a mechanical pipe, focused on precision and processability (such as automotive parts).
How do I choose between grades A/B/C/D?
Grade A is for light loads (temporary guardrails), Grade B is for general use (construction/trailers), Grade C is for heavy loads (bridges), and Grade D is for extreme conditions (seismic buildings, custom requirements are required).
Is it in stock? How long does it take to deliver?
Mainstream specifications (such as 50×50×3mm Grade B welded pipe) are in stock and ship within 1-3 days. Non-standard specifications (large side lengths/Grade D) can be customized in 7-12 days, with an additional 3-5 days for customs clearance for export.
Can custom sizes be made?
Customizable side lengths of 25-500mm and wall thicknesses ≥2mm are available. Minimum order quantity is ≥5 tons, and lead time is 5-7 days longer than standard products.
Is it prone to rusting when used outdoors?
The base material is prone to rust, so hot-dip galvanizing (for 5-10 years) or anti-corrosion paint is recommended for outdoor use. Direct use in high salt spray environments at the seaside is not recommended.
How are payment and after-sales services calculated?
Payment is a 30% deposit + final payment. Long-term customers can apply for monthly invoices. If there are any quality issues (cracks/excessive wall thickness) upon arrival, we will respond within 24 hours and offer unconditional returns and exchanges, including ASTM A500 Square Steel Tube shipping costs.
