Introduction to Straight Seam Welded Pipes
Straight seam welded pipes are mainly divided into resistance welded (ERW) steel pipes and laser submerged arc welded (LSAW) steel pipes. The welding methods also differ, such as high-frequency welding and electric arc welding. High-frequency welded pipes are usually straight seam welded, but not all straight seam welded steel pipes are necessarily produced using high-frequency welding.

Inspection and Processing of Q235B Straight Seam Welded Pipe
Q235B straight seam welded pipe undergoes a complete inspection and processing procedure before leaving the factory to ensure its quality reliability. This process begins with ultrasonic testing and dimensional verification of the raw material steel plate, followed by 100% non-destructive testing of the main weld seam after welding (usually using a combination of ultrasonic and X-ray testing). Subsequently, each steel pipe must pass a specified hydrostatic pressure test to verify its pressure-bearing capacity and sealing performance. The final mechanical property sampling tests (including tensile, bending, and Charpy V-notch impact tests) are used to verify whether its strength, plasticity, and toughness meet the Q235B grade requirements. The processing stage is equally crucial. Mechanical expansion of the entire pipe body effectively eliminates forming and welding stresses, accurately calibrates geometric dimensions, and performs pipe end machining to ensure the accuracy of on-site connection.
