EN 10219 S460NH is a high-strength cold-formed welded square or rectangular tube defined under the European standard EN 10219, which is specially used for load-bearing structures in the fields of construction, machinery, etc.
Mechanical properties:
Yield strength: ≥460MPa (wall thickness ≤16mm);
Tensile strength: 550-720MPa;
Elongation: ≥17%;
Low-temperature impact toughness: Need to pass the -50℃ impact test, absorbed energy ≥27J.
Manufacturing process of S460NH high-strength tube:
Cold bending: The plate is formed into a square or rectangular cross-section by cold bending, and then welded;
Normalizing: Eliminate cold working stress and refine the grains to improve material uniformity and toughness;
Welding requirements: The weld needs to pass ultrasonic testing to ensure that there are no defects such as cracks and pores
