ASTM A252 Steel Pipe Pile

A252 pipe piles are divided into post-tensioned prestressed pipe piles and pre-tensioned prestressed pipe piles, prestressed concrete pipe piles (PC pipe piles), prestressed concrete thin-walled pipe piles (PTC pipe piles) and high-strength prestressed concrete pipe piles (PHC pipe piles).
Pre-tensioned prestressed A252 pipe piles are hollow cylindrical slender concrete prefabricated components made by pre-tensioned prestressing technology and centrifugal forming. They are mainly composed of cylindrical pile bodies, end plates and steel sleeves.
A252 pipe piles are divided into prestressed concrete pipe piles (PC pipe piles), prestressed concrete thin-walled pipe piles (PTC pipe piles) and prestressed high-strength concrete pipe piles (PHC pipe piles) according to concrete strength grade and wall thickness. The concrete strength of PC piles shall not be lower than C50 concrete, the strength grade of PTC pipe piles shall not be lower than C60, and the concrete strength grade of PHC piles shall not be lower than C80. PC piles and PTC piles are generally cured by normal pressure steam, and generally take 28 days before they can be injected. As for PHC piles, they need to be steamed in an autoclave after demoulding. After steam curing at 10 atmospheres and about 180 degrees, the concrete strength grade reaches C80. The shortest time from molding to use is only three or four days.
