Product Introduction
API 5L A25-PSL1 grade is the lowest grade (lowest strength, most economical price) of pipe in the oil and gas pipeline series. It is typically suitable for low-pressure transmission; onshore natural gas or fuel oil gathering and transmission pipelines; and protective casing in pipe bundle systems. In some fields, it often competes with structural pipe standards such as ASTM A53. API 5L A25-PSL1 grade steel pipe is a seamless pipe, a welded pipe. Compared to other welded pipes, its advantages lie in its ease of processing and welding, making it very easy to perform on-site welding and installation; in addition, it has good plasticity, making it easy to bend and form

For product (steel pipe) grade PSL1: For every 0.01% decrease in the maximum specified carbon content, the maximum specified manganese (Mn) content can be increased by 0.05%.
This material specifies the manufacturing requirements for two product specification grades (PSL 1 and PSL 2) of seamless and welded steel pipes used in pipeline transportation systems in the oil and gas industry.

Tensile Strength (σb): 1. Specifies the maximum stress the steel pipe can withstand before fracture.
2. This value is also significantly lower than that of higher-grade steel pipes (e.g., Gr.B's tensile strength requirement ≥414MPa).
Yield Strength (σs): The "25" in "A25" comes from this yield strength value.
Elongation: The standard provides a calculation formula based on the gauge length and specimen cross-sectional area to ensure the material possesses basic plastic deformation capacity.
