A283 GRB Carbon steel pipe Description
A283 GRB Cold Drawn Welded Tubes are high precision welded steel tubes based on ASTM A283 Gr.B carbon structural steel, combined with the cold drawing process, for industrial applications requiring high strength, precision and surface quality.
Material Specification
ASTM A283 Gr.B belongs to medium-low carbon steel, carbon content ≤ 0.17%, manganese content ≤ 0.90%, phosphorus and sulfur content ≤ 0.035%, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 380 MPa.
Cold-drawing process standard
Through the cold drawing process to improve the dimensional accuracy (OD tolerance ± 0.1mm or less) and surface finish, in line with the requirements of precision tubes for mechanical structures.
Performance Characteristics
High strength and toughness: tensile strength ≥ 380 MPa, suitable for medium to high load structural components.
High precision and surface quality: high surface finish after cold drawing, can be directly used in machining or hydraulic systems.
Corrosion resistance: can be coated with an anti-rust layer (e.g. zinc plating) to adapt to wet or corrosive environments.
APPLICATIONS
Machinery manufacturing: hydraulic cylinders, precision drive shafts, bearing sleeves and other high-precision components.
Construction and infrastructure: bridge supports, steel frames and bolted high-strength structural parts.
