L555 Spiral welded steel pipe Description
L555 spiral welded pipe is a kind of spiral formed welded steel pipe made of high-strength low alloy steel (L555M/X80 grade), which is mainly used in the fields of oil and gas transmission, building structure and so on.
Material and steel grade
L555 is a high-strength low alloy steel, in accordance with API 5L standard, corresponding to X80 steel grade (tensile strength ≥ 555 MPa, yield strength ≥ 555 MPa), through the addition of alloying elements (such as Mn, Cr, etc.) to enhance the strength and corrosion resistance.
Features
High strength and load carrying capacity
Yield strength ≥ 555 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 625 MPa, suitable for high-pressure oil and gas transmission (e.g. natural gas pipelines) and building support structures.
Corrosion resistance
The surface can be coated with antirust paint (physical or chemical antirust process) to enhance corrosion resistance.
Antistatic
Some of the products have been specially treated to achieve a smooth anti-static surface, which reduces the resistance to media flow and the risk of static build-up.
