L360 welded spiral steel pipe Description
L360 spiral welded pipe is a spiral welded steel pipe made of L360 steel grade (minimum yield strength ≥ 320MPa), which is specialised in the transport of oil, natural gas and other fluids. It has high strength and large diameter manufacturing capability by coiling steel strip through spiral forming process and connecting welds with double-sided submerged arc welding technology.
Implementation standards:
International general API Spec 5L (American Petroleum Institute standard).
Domestic in line with GB/T 9711 (oil and gas industry transmission steel pipe delivery technical conditions).
Material type: Low alloy high strength steel (such as Q235, 16Mn or special pipeline steel) is used to balance the strength and toughness by optimising the ratio of carbon, manganese and other elements.
Typical composition (in mass fraction):
C≤0.20%, Si≤0.45%, Mn≤1.60%, P ≤0.020%, S≤0.010%, and contains trace V, Nb and other alloying elements, carbon equivalent (CEV) ≤0.45%.
Forming and welding:
After the steel strip is formed by cold-pressing spiral forming, double-sided submerged arc welding process is adopted, using the arc to melt the wire and base material under the flux layer to form a weld, ensuring welding efficiency and quality.
Key control points include: adjusting the amount of underpressure of the forming rolls, ensuring the straightness of the row of rolls, and replacing worn parts in time to improve geometric accuracy.
