STK400 ERW Pipe Description
STK400 electric resistance welded pipe is a straight seam welded pipe made of STK400 steel strip using electric resistance welding process. Its implementation standard is JIS G3444, and its material is STK400 carbon structural steel. It is often used in scenarios such as conveying fluids and structural support.
Advantages
- High-efficiency process and low cost
The edge of the steel strip is heated by high-frequency current, and the steel strip is crimped and formed by extrusion rollers. The production speed can reach 20-200 meters/minute, which is suitable for mass production, with low equipment investment and flexible specifications.
- Stable and reliable performance
The weld has a small heat-affected zone and high forming accuracy. Normalizing treatment ensures that the mechanical properties of the weld and the parent material are consistent (such as tensile strength ≥400MPa), meeting the load-bearing requirements.
- Good processing adaptability
The material is low-carbon steel (Q235B, SS400, etc.), with excellent welding performance and convenient on-site construction; the surface can be galvanized to enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life.
