A500 GRB Carbon Steel Square Hollow Section Description
A500 GRB thermoformed resistance welded pipe is a carbon steel structural pipe based on the ASTM A500 standard, combining the thermoforming process with resistance welding technology, and is suitable for engineering applications requiring high mechanical strength. Its core characteristics are as follows:
Manufacturing process
Thermoforming process: Cold forming by heating steel plate/strip to form square or rectangular cross-section, and then welding by resistance welding (ERW).
Welding method: High Frequency Resistance Welding (HFW) is used, the weld seam is tightly bonded and the quality can be ensured by flaw detection (e.g. ultrasonic or radiographic).
Surface treatment: usually passivated or coated to improve corrosion resistance, smooth surface and high dimensional accuracy.
